NORSE KING HOLDS BOUBLE EAGLE SAFE Jockey Drcyer Has a Leg Broken at Jamaica Mad ¬ den Sells Sam McMeckin to Hildreth New York June 14 Perfect weather conditions prevailed at Jamaica today and an unusually good card of races for an olf day resulted in an enjoyable afternoons sH rt One of the best races on the pro ¬ gram was the third at a mile and a sixteenth for threeyearolds in which all of the original live accepted the issue Norse King showing the most siiocd from the start was returned the winner after he had dominated the running throughout Double Kagle was in a contending position while rounding the lirst turn but the Lemaire colt drew away into a safe lead while going down tlio backstretch and lasted it out well Double Kagle after being in strenuous pursuit all the way was easily second best bestWhat What was intended for the feature race resulted in the lirst accident of the meeting in which jockey J Dreyer who has been riding in good form of late suffered a broken leg In attempting to go to the front Hegina crowded Fernrock which was on the inside and Variety racing on the heels of Fernrock had to pull up sharply Dreyer was forced against the inner rail and unseated Once in front Hegina held sway to Uie end with Fernrock second by a narrow margin over the fast coming Success SuccessOSullivan OSullivan won his second victory at this course when he scored
