Ont., September 14. — The talent found the picking of winners a rather dillicult task at Daffetia Iark thbl afternoon, only two choices being successful. Interest centered in the raaaiag of the fifth race, the ioagest of the cud Moonlight, the second choice, vvas returned an easy winner .Iter belag saved until in the li-l quarter. Baveaal was a contender throughout, but lost any chance of winning by running out on the third turn. The closest tinish of the day came in the concluding dash, in which Fat Cannon just got up to heat Ormead a load. The three placed horses finished hipped on one another in the second race, hut the remaining races were won by comfortable margin-. Jockeys Fodea and Jenkins divided the riding honors with two winners each. Conditions wen- again favorable and a goid crowd attended. Among the arrivals today was ex-steeple, h.i-e jockey Eddie Kelly with BOa Jennings, which he secured from ;. Alexander. She- ran unplaced in the sixth race, after showing considerable early -peel. W. F. King, owner of Blue Can and other horses, who has been in a hospital here for several days. vvas out t "lay for the first time.
