He has decided on many changes for New • Orleans racing and is looking forward to an even i more successful meeting than that of a year ago. The American jockey G. Archibald headed the list , of winning riders for the summer meeting at Ilopiie garter. Berlin, recently concluded, with seventeen , firsts in forty-eight races. The victories of the American rider were |ioptilar. and in racing al least t there was no trace of auti-American feeling. Second j place was taken liy jockey Rastcnlterger. riding J tor til.- Wcin! crg stables, for which Kreil Taral. , former American jockey, is training. Rastenberger. who is serving with the German tield artillery and I was given a furlough for the meeting, rode fifteen i winners in lilty si races. Other German jockeys s follow for to the rear, the ucxt rider, l.lueschkc. , having ridden only seven winners.
