HAVANA FAVORITES FAIL SLY GO DOWN TO UNBROKEN DEFEAT IN SOME GOOD RACING AT ORIENTAL PARK. Energetic Takes the Measure of Cooster Easily — Orotund Wins for Bedwell at a Long Price — Elwah a Failure. Havana, Cuba, December 20. — Favorites were bowled over with unbroken regularity at Oriental Park this afternoon. In the first race it was easy for Energetic to take the measure of Cooster. Another favorite went down to defeat when Laiubs Tail failed to run to a place in the second race, which went to the well-backed outsider, Margaret Meise. Tony Fashion, on which the talent pinned their faith for the third, was beaten by Rose Water anil Moonstone. Louise Travers was backed into pronounced favoritism for the fourth, but was last at the finish, while Delia Mack won the race witu ease. Orotund, backed from 20 to 1 to 10 to 1. was an easy winner in the fifth. The rout of the talent was completed when Elwah finished third to Mon-, creif and Lily Orme iu the final race of the day.
