GamdenS resignation from the Kentucky State Bating Commission created a big surprise in rating circles today and the entire morning was given over to a discussion of whom Governor A. tl. Stanley would appoint to succeed him. Out of this diseus- sion it became apparent that Col. Milton Young of Lexington is practically the unanimous choice of the breeders, owners and trainers in this section ami this afternoon a petition asking for his appointment was put into circulation.
