QUICKSTEP HANDICAP NOMINATIONS. Latonia. Ky., May 11. — The summer meeting of Latonia this year begins on Wednesday, June 14, and continues for twenty -four raeiug days, winding up on Tuesday. July 11. This is the longest of the Kentucky meetings and this association gives the total of 0,500 to three stakes. These three events are the Latonia Derby with 0,000 added, the Cincinnati Trophy with ,000 added, and the Independence Handicap with ,500 added. During the meeting there are six other stakes with a total added valuation of 7,500. One of the other stakes to be run at the meeting at Latonia is the popular Quickstep Handicap, which three -quarters scramble for three-year-olds and over was put on Latonias program card by manager John Hachmeister for the first time in 1913. It was won that year by Helios in the rapid time of 1:12%, which was equalled last year by Hodge, which beat such high-class speed marvels as Leoehares and Star Jasmine.
