FIFINELLA IS AN OAKS WINNER ALSO. London. Eng.. June 1.- The wartime substitute for the Epsom Oaks, called the New Ooks. was decided at Newmarket this afternoon and resulted in the suci ess of the Derby winner. Fifinellj. by Poly-inelus — Silvtr Fowl; L. .Neumanns brown filly Sala-niumlru by St. Fruaquin — Electra, finished second, and W. M. O. Singers bay filly Market Girl, by Martagi n — Koster Girl, ran third. In accomplishing the double of the Derby and Oaks. Fifinella followed the example set by Eleanor. Hliuk Bonny and Signoriiietta. ami is Itcyond question a racer of the highest class. Sliotover did not run in the Oaks of her year and Tagalie. after winning the Derby, ran unplaced to Mirska. Baait-able and Bill ami Coo in the Oaks, although a 1 to 2 favorite. Fifinellas further engagement:; this year are in the Falmouth Stakes and Midsummer Stakes at the Newmarket Second July meeting. Champion Stakes at the Newmarket Second October meeting and several at the various "extra" meetings.
