CHEER, after being saved under restraint iu the early running, passed LANTANA in the final quarter and won under a stout pull. LANTANA raced into a long lead in the first quarter, but tired badly in the stretch. REBEL raced steadily and was gaining rapidly on LANTANA in the closing strides. NONESlCH was dull of speed. BROBECK ran green and was not persevered with. The winner was entered for ,400; no bid.
