TIE PIN sliehtlv interfered with at the start, closed a gap gamely and outstayed OCEAN PRINCE through the last eighth OCEAN, PRINCE moved up, steadily to the eighth post, hut tired in" the final drive TING-A-LING was a forward contender and had no mishaps, but quit in the homestretch. BALLY BA, while under stout restaint in the early running, almost unseated his rider at ti e fifth jump, then Wis put to punishment at the jumps and, fencing faultlessly, closed up gamely in the last eighth jind, passing, the Reader, outstayed REDDEST at the end. The latter was a iorird eon-tender all the way apd coming again under punishment in the last quarter, was wearing the leader down. BAMHOO had m mishaps ami finished gamely. GREY LEG. after being saved for a mile, took the lead with a rush in the last half mile, but tired badly in the closing strides. WEB CARTER tired and was not persevered Svith after going one mile. Won easily; second and third driving, b PITCH IN TIMK was forced to race wide all the way, but responded gamely to a call in the homestretch and, passing ILMA SCHORR, drew clear and won with speed in reserve. DAWN STAR was forced to pull up while rounding the turn, but slipped through next to the rail in the last quarter and finished with a belated rush. UMATILLA raced in near pursuit of the leaders and finished gamely, but just lasted long enough to withstand STELLA MIAS challenge. The latter closed a big gap, came around the leaders, finished fast and gaining. ILMA SCHORR set a fast early pace and raced ANNCIIEN into defeat, but tired when challenged. OUEEN ERRANT, clear of interference, all the way, closed a gap into a fast going second. HYANNIS moved up menacingly at the quarter post and, holding on gamely under punishment, outstayed GLOOMY GUS. The latter finished gamely when put under punishment. STAR MAID ran a good race. BUTTERSCOTCH II. set a fast pace and tired in the homestretch. KING HEROD and ARNOLD showed speed in the early running, but tired as if short after going three quarters.
