BILLY KELLYS STAKE ENGAGEMENTS Unbeaten Colt Entered in Several Valuable Juvenile Events at Douglas Park and Latonia. Louisville. Ky.. May 20. — Billy Kelly, the unbeaten juvenile belonging to W. F. Poison, whose impressive record of four straight victories over the best two-year-olds that have so far come into action this season on the Kentucky tracks, leads to the suggestion that he may turn out to be the champion of his age in the wist, is engaged in the most valuable juvenile stakes to be run at Douglas Park and Latonia this spring. He is eligible for the Spring Trial Stakes of ,500 added, to be run at Douglas Park on Saturday. June 8. His Lntonia engagements include the Harold Stakes of ,000 added, to be run Wednesday. June 25 and the Cincinnati Trophy of ,000 added, to be run on the closing day of the Latonia meeting. Saturday. July 13. W. Perkins, the coni| ctont colored trainer, who i developed Billy Kelly, makes no secret of his belief that the son of Dick Welles — Glt-na, can beat any two-year-old timt will Ik- shown in Kentucky this year. He is enthusiastic over the colts performances ; and will not hesitate to keep on pitting him against the best opjtosition that can be mustered, so long as ; he retains his present good form. Billy Kelly is a little fellow, but the series of races he has had in i such close succession does not appear to have ■ taken anything out of him. It is clear enough that he is the lK-st of the • juveniles shown so far and well |f stod horsemen i say they do not know of any two-year-old of outstanding high class that is lieiug ko: t under cover.
