LIVE TURF GOSSIP FROM LEXINGTON Lexington Ky September 20 C B Head owner of the Waldeck Stable donated the twoyearold gelding Khaki to the Breeders Red Cross fund and he was sold by Auctioneer George Bain in front of the grandstand at the Kentucky Association course yesterday after the fourth raw rawAfter After several had bought him for sums ranging from 10 to 50 and given him back to be sold over again Mr Head bought him in and will take him to Louisville where he will again be donated to the Red Cross and be sold at auction auctionAmerican American which was carded to start in the sixth race yesterday had to be withdrawn on account of having sustained an injury in his stall stallTom Tom Brown is doing missionary work among the owners here to send more of their horses to the Owensboro Ky fiveday fair where three running races daily will be held for purses of 150 and one of 300 The opening date is September 24 24Many Many of the owners wiio had intended shipping shippingto to Louisville have been unable to secure cars but butenough enough cars will be available by Saturday There will be a big shipment Saturday night and Sunday
