BELMONT PARKS AERIAL MEETING If you are so fortunate as to be at Belmont Park on the afternoon of Saturday October 26 you will be treated to an aerial three ring circus the like of which never has been approached anywhere At least that much was indicated by LieutCol Claude K Rhinehardt yesterday afternoon when at a luncheon at the Automobile Club of America he out ¬ lined his plans for the meeting to be held under the direction of the United States Air Service The colonel revealed the fact that the show was to b held for the purpose of getting fumis not alone for athletic fipiipment for the flyers on the f ive Lens Island fields but for actual wiuter necessities fop tin enlisted men necessities such as heavy coats aiid gloves which are not provided by the AVar Department In addition to Col Rhinehardt who is in command of the first provisional wing of the air service those present included Walter Camp Capt Wharton Major Jones of the Air Medical Senice Major Martel Capt Carl AVilliams Lieut Dave Fnltz and Lieut Larry Baukhart It looked much like a football gathering gatheringCol Col Rhinehardt promises those who attend the meeting all the spectacular business and hair raisins features possible with one hundred planes at his command There will be battle formations scout formations bombing nose dips tail spins and every ¬ thing else which you have read an airplane can do Nothing will be deleted by the censor or anybody else and a lot will be added for once a flyer goes un wi arc told there is no stopping him It will be the first meeting under the direction of the aviation corps for the event is the result of an order from Gen Kenly In addition to the flying there will bo land competitions among the enlisted men Taken all in all it shapes up as one of the biggest at ¬ tractions yet offered iu this country and will make an automobile nice look like u Suuday school meeting New York Sun
