OMAR KHAYYAM FOR FRANCE New York Novcml er 18 Mr Wilfrid Viait the owner of Omar Khayyam lias been in the city the past few days after recovering from a slight opera ¬ tion on his leg due to a fall Mr and Mrs Viau have their eyes turned toward France expecting to leave for that country as soon after the New Year as possible They have a home there which they have not seen for the past four years What is more important however to horsemen is the possi ¬ bility that once back again it is probable the Viaus will stay there and transfer their racing interests to that country Mr Viau said yesterday that in all probability lie would ship Omar Khay ¬ yam to France especially if he continued to improve as he lias done the past few weeks Should Mr Viau decide to move to France with Omar Khay ¬ yam it will deprive this country of one of the best horses in the handicap division for next year which can I e ill spared
