RACING STATISTICS OF THE LATONIA JOCKEY CLUBS ANNUAL FALL MEETING The Latonia Jockey Clubs fall meeting originally scheduled to open October 24 and to continue to November 16 did not get under way until November 13 because of the epidemic of influenza prevalent at the time necessitating the Kentucky health authorities placing a ban on all public gatherings After opening on November 13 it was planned to run for ten days but later it was decided to continue to and including Thanksgiving Day making fourteen racing days in all during which time ninetyeight races were run and 119070 distributed in stakes and purses representing the highly satisfactory daily average distribution of 8505 All the stake features were run during the tirst ten days of the meeting and altogether the racing was of a high standard with all the best of the western horses supplemented by additions from the east seen in competition To J S Hawkins goes the honor of heading the thelist list of moneywinning owners with 9290 to his credit AA S Kilmer being a close second with 9240 Another to fare exceedingly well was F D Weir who won the largest number of races and 7481 The following are the
