OLD ROAMER A PICTURE OF HEALTH Never Looked Better Than at Present in Winter Quarters at Gravesend Promising Yearlings New York DecemlKr 3 A J Goldsborough trainer of Andrew Millers stable has several prom ¬ ising yearlings under his care at Gravesend where the great and popular Koamer is quartered for the winter Hoamcr never looked better than he does right now is as sound as the day he was foaled and without a single blemish to mar his handsome and admirably balanced conformation Only the other day Dr McCnlly when commenting on the proposed exclusion of geldings from important stake races referred to the comment recently made by some one that Itoamer was a striking example of the folly ot gelding wellbred colts and added that had not Itoamer Inen gelded it would have been long odds that Jie never would have raced l youd his fiveyearold form and extremely doubtful if he would have developed into any such horse as lie is todayMr today Mr Millers Snapdragon II has just returned from Maryland where he was raced during the fall campaign The threeyearold Keconnt has been blistered and hopes are entertained that he will be a much improved horse next year Among the yearlings now in the GoldslMiroifch stable are several worthy of especial mention W B Miller has a pretty and promising bay filly by Uncle Unseen H T Oxuard has a goodlooking bay filly by Superman Catalina A Now York gentleman whose connection with turf affairs has not yet been given to the public has a stout cobby and masculine looking bay colt by Sweep IdleBox Andrew Miller has a finelooking chestnut colt by Textile Ashes King Cavalier is a promising bay colt by King James He belongs to H G Oxnard Andrew Miller has an exceptionally goodlooking bay colt by Textile Byf H T Oxnard has a fine bay colt by King James llosecrestr Andrew Miller has a large and handsome chestnut colt by Textile Miss Hudson This is a brother to The Spinner now dead whom he rather closely re ¬ sembles semblesA A brother to George Odoms King Plaudit is one of the finest looking in Mr Goldsborough stable He is by Plaudit Wild Thistle the dam of that stanch old campaigner Blue Thistle This colt has a splendid neck and shoulder is grandly coupled and shows immense driving power in his loin and quarters and especially in his stifles and gaskins
