T H CROSS STABLE AT NEW ORLEANS His Horses in Charge of Trainer A G Blakeley Should Figure Prominently at Fair Grounds NEW ORLEANS La December 28 The colors of T H Cross one of the heads of the Armour Pack ¬ ing Company will be conspicuous among those of several other wealthy owners during the Fair Grounds meeting The horses that will represent Mr Cross are in the capable hands of A G Blakeley who has also in charge a number of horses belonging to R H McC Potter and H E Springer together with several he is training for himself himselfMr Mr Cross although he has l een identified with racing in a modest way for about three years had not iKconie prominently identified with the sport until last fall when he increased his thoroughbred holdings by the purchase of horses that had Ixen racing in the colors of W 1 Orr These were turned over to trainer Blakeley to be campaigned this winter Should they prove even moderately success ¬ ful their owner will next spring branch out and broaden his turf operations operationsThe The stable in charge of trainer Blakeley is a most select one and includes a number that performed well on the eastern tracks The establishment also embraces some finelybred yearlings that will be ready to race successfully before the new year has advanced far The older division includes Lucius Royce Rools Hendron Portlight Tantalus Traction and Alf Veziiia the last named being a brother to Kalitan KalitanAmong Among the more promising juveniles are Gonzalez II a chestnut colt by Negofol Goma My Romany a brown colt bv Rockton Oriska a brown filly liy Jack Atkin Lady Installator a brown colt by JCcoueu Maydora French bred and the English lired brown colt bv Alford Kaedean KaedeanThe The stable will command the services of jockey Andy Schuttinger who has notified Mr Blakeley that he will come here to ride after January 15 The stable will also be able to call upon jockey K Haynes
