FEW HORSES LEFT AT BELMONT PARK Majority Have Shipped to Pimlico Terentia and Sweep On Work Impressively NEW YORK N Y April 28 All but a few horses of importance have left Belmont Park for Pimlico The Karrick stable comprising the horses belonging to W R Coe and II K Knapp is still there but leaves next Thursday for Maryland Mr Karrick will only take five Terentia Sweep On Over There and two maidens On Sunday both Mr Coe and Mr Knapy were at the track to see Terentia and Sweep On work Both covered a mile in 143 Terentia being alone while Sweep On had a stable mate with him The work was over the training track and considered quite satisfactiry Elfin Queen was sent threequarters in 1115 She showed marvelous speed but is not yet quite ready for racing racingTom Tom Welch and A J Joyner are paying much attention to their twoyearolds schooling at the barrier They all seem to take their education kindly Neither of these trainers who are em ¬ ployed by J E and G D Widener respectively will be ready before Jamaica or Belmont Park Their liorses look good to the eye but a trifle slow in rounding into condition conditionWalter Walter Jennings who lias a big string of the Macomber horses is preparing for Jamaica or Bel ¬ mont Park Several of his best are ready for strenuous trials awaiting call callTrainers Trainers who have watched the work of Sweep On and Terentia are convinced they are being pointed for the Preakness and the Oaks to be run at Pimlico
