AUSTRALIAN HIGH JUMPING RECORD RECORDSYDNEY SYDNEY Australia May 2 The highjumping record for a horse has undergone several changes within the last seven months On September 4 1918 at the Albnry Show Mrs A Judds 14hands pony Thumbs Up ridden by Rowley Doctor an aboriginal and W J Weirs Peter ridden by R Cluttick established a record of 7 feet 5 Inches At Bendigo on October 10 A Judds Sundown raised it to 7 feet 0 4 inches on March 28 1919 Ix ne Star belonging to Perry Sales Circus lifted the record to 7 feet 7 inches which in some quar ¬ ters was erroneously claimed as the worlds highest jump And on Friday last A Juddt Sundown cleared 7 feet 8 inches at the Quirindi Show Sun ¬ down is by Ben Buckler from a Coonamble mare and was again ridden by Rowley Doctor DoctorThe The worlds record is held by the American horse Heatherbloom which cleared 8 feet 1 inch and S feet 2 Inches in 1900 The Canadian best is 8 feet inch by Confidence in 1913 while another American Biska jumped 7 feet 8 inches which la also tbe French record held by Mount Jole
