INVITATION MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 27 NEW YORK N Y June 13 Saturday Septem ¬ ber 27 has been selected as the date for the invi ¬ tation race meeting to be tendered by J E Wide ner at his home Lynnewood Farm Elkins Park Pa The details of the meeting will be arranged for by Frank J Bryan and every effort will be made to provide an afternoon of sport in keeping with the splendid results of previous meetings at the same place All the purses will of course be presented by Mr Widener and all lovers of the thoroughbred will be welcomed as his guests for the day daySix Six races will be run three on the flat and the same number over the steeplechase course The purses will in each case be extremely liberal liberalThe The feature of the program will be a renewal of the Coligny Steeplechase to which the added money will be 1000 1000The The announcement that the meetinf is to be held will be welcome news to all the devotees of the hunt meetings and many of the most prominent stables have already volunteered to send horses to take part
