MOTOR COP IN GRAND FORM I I Picks Up 130 Pounds and Easily Wins Laurel Feature Salesman Disqualified. LAUREL, Md., October 20. Motor Cop picked up 130 pounds today and ran, the, three-quarters mile of the feature race on the card in 1:13, duplicating Lis performance of Saturday with 125 pounds up. The speedy son of Uncle took the lead with the rise of the barrier and finished out the three-quarters under restraint to win by six lengths from Harry Payne Whitneys Panoply, with J. Farrells Mock- Orange, in third position. Salesman, running in the colors of F. Flannery in the opening dash, a thrqe-quarters mile dash for juveniles, was the victim of the third disqualification of the meeting. The Bard of Hope colt, an odds-on favorite, finished second, beaten a head by General Agramonte, but" was set back for having bumped the leaders about in the final sixteenth. His displacement moved Zealous Into second place and Obstinate into third. .1. Gruneisen, the apprentice under contract to J. K. L. Ross, rode Glen Well and Vic, winners of the third and fourth races respectively. Both were third choices. Glen Well vas rated behind the pacemaker to ihe stretch turn where he moved into the lead and drew away. Allivan finished third. Vic also followed the pacemaker to the stretch turn, when she slipped through on the inside, rail and drew away to win in a canter from Explosive and Fernwood. W. P. Riggs, general manager of the Pimlico track, announced that the executive committee today decided to give 1920.sh0 to the trnlner of each winner during the meeting. Last season they gave a fifty dollar liberty bond for each winner saddled. Jockey Cheyenne, who was astride Earlocker when he fell yesterday, sustained a broken collar bone. Preparatory to his departure for .Montreal, Allen Bnlcroft has turned the horses in his care over to W. L. Oliver. The latter will send New Haven, the jumper, and Wraith and another two-year-old to Lakewood to winter and will put in his own time there until the first of the year, when he plans a trip to Havana. Most of Mr. Olivers stable hands will return to Montreal with Fred Shelke. Ben Beach has received word from C. F. Clark that the seven Granite yearlings he is preparing in Kentucky are doing nicely. This band, the property of J. H. Loucheim, will be shipped to New Orleans next month. Gene Wayland has a dozen yearlings belonging to W. J. Salmon at Jamaica. They will be shipped here and wintered with the remainder of the Salmon string. J. R. Skinker claimed Siesta from J. Lumsden yesterday for ,010. Members of the State Racing Commission inspected the Pimlico plant this morning and were well pleased with its condition. Woods Garth, Jr., son of W. L. Garth, has arranged to take fifteen head to Cuba the coming winter. In the shipment will be a number from the L. Waterbury stable and a portion of the Ral Parr horses. Jockey Rodriguez may accompany the shipment. The former rider J. Mclntyre has bought Sailor and the two-year-old Coggte from Mr. Slmms. They will be shipped to Empire City and from there to Tijuana. Mrs. Payne Whitney bought Farmingdale from S. A. Clopton with a view to making a steeplechaser of him. E. L. Cole this morning sent the Flannngan jumpers to Gentlemens Driving Park across from the Pimlico course.
