LICENSES FOR TRAINERS AND JOCKEYS JOCKEYSLEXINGTON LEXINGTON Ky April 23 The Kentucky State Racing Commission all members present met yesterday and granted licenses to 195 trainers BG jockeys 33 apprentices and 27 agents agentsThe The applications of J G Kurt trainer A W Claver James W Davenport and William Warring ton jockeys and W M Sebree because he is too young were denied deniedThe The applications of twenty trainers sir jockeys two apprentices and one agent are held pending investigation investigationThe The licenses granted jockeys Earl Pool and Harry Lunsford arc probationary which is to say that continuance depends on good behavior behaviorThe The following additions were made to the rules of racing racingTo To rule 17G Any valet who shall make a bet for himself or place for any other a bet upon any race shall be ruled off offRule Rule 109 a Every jockey who is to ride in a race shall report to the jockey room not later than 1 oclock p m of the day of the race and none but jockeys and their valets and racing offi ¬ cials shall be admitted to the jockey room roomRule Rule 259 a One of the stewards during the running of a race shall station himself on some part of the course where he may observe the run ¬ ning of the race or other matters relating thereto and immediately thereafter report to the other stewards any wrongful or suspicious conduct in the running of such race coming to his notice Stew ¬ ards shall alternate in performing the duties pro ¬ vided for by this rule ruleRule Rule 259 b It shall be the duty of the stew ¬ ards not later than seven days before the end of each meeting to make report in writing to the chairman of the State Racing Commission of all infractions of the rule and of all rulings of the stewards upon matters coming before them during the meeting Copies thereof shall be mailed to each member of the commission
