The gem of the sale was Damaris, which was bought by the British Agency for an American breeder, hut stays iu England and is to be bred to Lemberg next season. The sire of Yellow Hand, Rossendale, was cheaply bought and goes to Australia for breeding purposes, lie has had but moderate success iu England. The results of the sale were only moderate. The market was strong for only the best. It is not so stated, but it is Hkely that Curia and Torchlight were bid on for John Sanford and that Damaris was bought for him.
