SLEIVECONARD. off forwardly, hut outpaced in the early running, came wide when entering the stretch and, under hard riding, passed the leaders and won going away. PENITENT began a little slowly and displayed brilliant speed in racing LADY BALTIMORE into defeat, but tired after taking the lead. MODESTY was a forward contender all the way and finished gamely. LADY BALTIMORE set a great pace and tired in the stretch. IRISH BRIGADIER saved ground on the turns. LEGHORN finished fast.
