INGS FAMILYNAMED HORSE St David Bay Colt of King George Looks Promising Is by La Marquise Ecila SPECIAL CORRESPONDENCE LONDON England April 6 A lot of no ¬ tice was taken at Newmarket of King Georges finelooking colt St David It will be remembered that David is the family name of the Prince of Wales WalesSt St David was in the paddock at New ¬ market before the Column Produce Stakes merely to become accustomed to race course surroundings for he did not run last sea con He is a bay colt of fine scope and quality well developed in front and good to follow lie looks as though he may be smart but at present is not ready Per George will eventually possess possessSt St David la by Friar Marcus Princesse do Galles which ran second to Electra in the One Thousand Guineas of 1909 and second to Perola in the Epsom Oaks of 1909 besides winning four or five good races She is the dam of La Marquise and Sir Deighton She was sired by Gallinule Ecila by Persimmon The fact that St David is inbred to Per ¬ simmon which was the sire of the dam of Friar Marcus is not exactly in his favor It will not however be wise to indulge in any forebodings before the colt has revealed his class on the race course St David is pure homebred at the Royal Stud
