Won easily; second and third driving. REFRAIN took the lead at once, held the race oafe all tho way, and won as his rider pleased. MID CITY began slowly, but closed up fast on the outside and passed EVADNER in the final sixteenth. EVADNER was a forward contender in the early running and outgnmcd WHO KNOWS in the final drive. Tho latter saved ground on all the turns and had no mishaps. AUNTIE EM quit in the final eighth. Scratched CC740 Bill of Expense, 114. Overweights Auntie Em, 2 pounds. LEOMA was a forward contender throughout and finished gamely. LAST GIRL ran well and had on mishaps. SIR JACK saved ground and finished fast. TORNADO quit after setting tho early pace. PIKESVILLE set the pace for the first eighth and, after being headed, raced SILKS AND SATIN into defeat and won going away through the final sixteenth, although his rider lost one of his stirrups soon after the start and was of little assistance to his mount. SILKS AND SATIN, prominent from the start, took the lead on the last turn, but tired in the stretch drive. JAMAICA BELLE raced gamely throughout. RUTH T. finished well. FOREST QUEEN moved up fast after going a half mile and took tho lead, but was unable to withstand the winners challenge. TRICKS finished stoutly and passed ZORRO in the stretch. RUNNAN, a forward contender from the start, overcame repeated Interference and outfinlshed STAR COURT for second place. STAR COURT also suffered from interference, but recovered and mada a game finish. MR. X. ran well. VENAL JOY set the early pace and tired. INA KAY quit after racing into the lead. DOTTAS BEST closed up gamely in tha last eighth. nOREB raced extremely wide for the first half mile and tired badly in tho final quarter.
