Won driving; second and third the same. NEG began fast and was outrun early, but made up ground steadily while racing on the outside and, finishing with a rush, won in the last stride. MERRY LASS showed the most speed in the going to the last eighth and hund on tenaciouly when challenged. COUNT BORIS was a forward contender throughout. VERA RITA, after setting a good pace, tired and wal lucky to save second place. AL PORTER raced wide throughout in the best going and finished with a great rush. FIREWORTH ran n good race and took the lead midway of the stretch, but was no match for the winner when challenged. SILEX IL ran a good race from a slow beginning.
