Won easily; second and third driving. NEBRASKA LAD passed SHELBYVILLE after racing three-eighths and drawing away into a long iead won in a canter. TOM CRAVEN ran a good race from a slow beginning and finished resolutely. SHELBYVILLE. away fast, set the early pace and had no mishaps. HICKORYNUP showed speed for a half, then fell bark. LETA was caught in a jam at the start, but recovered quickly and racing on the outside finished fast and outstayed WALTER DANT. The latter made a game finish. BRIAN KENT raced forwardly from the start and, passing NOONHOUR midway of the stretch, took the lead, but had to be ridden out hard to withstand the challenge of LADY LEONID. The latter finished witii an electric lmrst of speed and would have won in the next stride. BOWSPRIT ran a good race and outstayed NOONHOUR. BREEZE was the closest contender throughout and finished lighting it out resolutely. BASTILLE was in close quarters on the first turn, but when clear did not mako any impression on the first two. The latter finished gamely, but was not quite equal to reaching the winner. ItOMULUS made a good finish and outstayed POEBLO. The latter was hard ridden while racing in closest but unavailing pursuit of the winner and finished gamely, but tiring. MAYSVILLR quit. HABBY RUDDER loomed up menacingly when an eighth out, but tired near the finish. GIPSY JOE closed a big gap in the last quarter.
