Cicero Ordinance Ruling Sought by Racing Board BoardPointed Pointed Out as Likely Violation Of Section lOa of Racing Act ActContinued Continued from Page One Onerepresented represented the Board while attorney Thomas Kelly represented Wilson and Alli ¬ son Dr Y T Oster state chemist Dr H N Holmes state veterinarian and William A Hamilton steward representing the Board at the Chicago tracks also took the stand reviewing the procedure followed in this particular case Following the taking of testimony and the submission of various exhibits as evidence the case was taken under advisement by the Board BoardApplications Applications for reinstatement by W W Bloom P Dominguez C E and P E Sim ¬ mons and Curly Limerick all were denied At the same time the Board concurred in the License Committes recommendation that license applicatons for Edward J Witt R E Kurelik and P J Costello be refused It was further recommended that the ap ¬ plicants secure employment under some re ¬ liable trainer to obtain more experience in the conditioning of horses Likewise the applications for jockey licenses by Lawrence Barney T P Martin and R C Denton were denied by the Board in support of the com ¬ mittees findings The committee reported that it felt that Barney who was seriously injured in a fall at Hawthorne last fall had not fully recovered and when he had his request would be given every consideration Insobriety was advanced as the reason for the refusal of licenses for Martin and Denton
