COPPER GUARD steadily improved his position to take command inside the stretch and won drawing away. PHANTOM LADY reached the lead between calls during the stretch drive, but could not withstand the winner. BETTY SKELLY held a clear advantage when settled for the final test, but faltered during the late stages. SORROWFUL raced wide. RONNIE BOY had no excuse. DOC OLBETER was forced to take up when in close quarters on the far turn. FLYOMA stumbled coming out of the gate. ERWIN K. quit to a walk. PHARA MODEL, unhurried when outrun for a half mile, slipped through next to the inside rail entering the stretch and, after taking command- inside the stretch, drew clear under pressure. WILD WIND finished resolutely in a good effort, but could not seriously menace the winner. .DIDDLE DADDLE failed to stay after displaying good speed. ILLSTAY quit NON FERRO was forced wide on the near turn. BLINKS BOY lacked a rally. MEAT SNAPP gave way suddenly. PEACH COBBLER was always outrun. ROY H. S. showed nothing. EQUICHALL, slow to reach her best stride while saving ground during the early running, came out for the drive and won in hand. BULLREVEAL, never far back, responded gamely when shaken up for the drive, but could not overtake the winner. TING T. raced in closest attendance to the early leader, came over slightly on ARTFUL KID during the stretch run then faltered. ROAMING OSCAR failed to gain the lead and failed to rally. ARTFUL KID encountered mild interference when TING T. lugged in through the final furlong. SUNNY TOOTS had no mishap. MOMMIE DOLL tired. MISS TICKET was outrun, as was NITRO BABE. DANNETTA B was sent into closer contention on the far turn, but failed to respond when set down for the stretch run*. FRANKS HOPE was in close quarters on the far turn, recovered readily, but could not get to the top ones when hard ridden through the stretch. CLYDE G. could not keep up.
