BUCK KNIGHT MEETS HIS DEATH The recent rain has put the Ideal Park track in a miserable condition and although the management has tried its best to keep the course safe there are still some dangerous spots in it About the half mile pole the ground is very soggy and yesterday three horses fell in about the same spot May Rose and Jack Gore the first two to meet with accident escaped without a scar but Buck Knight in the fourth race ridden by one of the tracks popular jockeys Ham was not so lucky and with the fall of the horse broke his neck and Ham luckily escaped with a broken collar bone This accident upset the crowd and little interest was taken in the sport after it itMr item Mr Rogers owner of the Elkton Elton Stock Farm for whom Ham rides had Blaiserock Blaster in the last race and in a soft spot but after the boy was hurt he wanted the horse excused but when it was learned Ham was not seriously hurt Mr Rogers started his horse and with Caywood Cawed up won gallopHe galloped in a common gallop He was the only favorite during the day to win winThe winter The third a condition race at one mile fur ¬ nished noshed a close and exciting finish Sunny win ¬ ning Ming by a short head from Newhouse Onerous in a stag ¬ gering gearing manner There was lots of bumping between the pair but not enough to warrant disqualification Bombardon in new hands won his race rather easily but Caywood Cawed rede redden the prettiest race seen at the track and practically stole the purse
