HORSES PLENTIFUL AT NEW ORLEANS. William LakHan.l. who recently returned to N.w York from New Orleans, says thcue are enough horses at New Orleans, in his opinion, to keep two tracks running instead of one. "Almost any sort of a selling or condition race brings out such a big bunch that there are as many thrown out as are printed on the entry list." says Lakeland, "and a man is lucky to have a start, much less win a race."
