GOSSIP FROM KENTUCKY SOURCES. Louisville. Ky.. August 4.-—The string of trainer W. S. Hopkins has been reinforced by the arrival of I. W. Mescheinlorfs Volthorpe. Aliilieline and Del thorpe. a trio ot youngsters that have been turned out at Waldeck Slud since the close of the Latoliia meeting. All will be raced sparingly the coming fall. Black Magic, a lilly that has changed hands recently, has also been shipped here from Lexington for trainer Hopkins to handle. Carroll B. lteid has ret ill lied from a visit to his home at Ilustoiiville. Ky. He reports the death of the stallion San on, by which be has a weanling colt out of CappadocU. E. c. Hopper, he states, has shipped two yearlings to trainer Cy Hughes at l.eint:ton to U broken, one being a tilly bv Royal Flush I" RagietS ami the other a colt by Ornus. Crater Bros, have had an addition to their train lug establishment in Sister Madeline, which is inst recovering from a long s| ell of sickness.
