CUTS CONEY ISLAND JOCKEY CLUB TAX New York May 2 Justice Crano In the Supremo Court at Brooklyn has handed down a decision in which he placed the valuation of the race track property of the Coney Island Jockey Club at Sheeps liead Pay at 1583420 The property was assessed this year on a valuation of 2lo0 0 Considering this too high the club sued the Commissioners of Taxes and Assessment to have it reduced Justice reducedJustice Crane practically accepted the valuation figures of the clubs expert assessors Robert Hunt ley and David A Kelly The citys exiKirt George F Byrnes had placed tho valuation at 23i 5 5 but this amount was cut to 2ioOOO by the com niissioners niissionersIn In 19011 tho assessment on tho property was on a basis of 1151400 and in 1910 on 1550000 Jus ¬ tice Crane said ho could see no reason for tho citys figures this year since tho property had not materially increased in value within tho past few years so far as he could ascertain
