XOHLER BUYS BELMONT YEARLINGS YEARLINGSPays Pays 530000 for Young Thoroughbreds That Chair ¬ man of Jockey Club Intended Bringing Here New York May 2 Charles Kohler today paid August Bclinout 000 for seventeen colts and fillies by Ethelbert out of wellknown mares bred in France and they will remain there Mr Kohler said that S C Hildreth inspected them and urged their purchase Mr Belmont was loath to sell them after announcing that they would be brought to America and sold at auction here Mr hereMr Bclmont today expressed in enthusiastic terms his opinion of Ten Point which he saw run at Havre de Grace on Thursday He thinks him a groat colt and says he will go to Louisville next week to see the Kentucky Derby He is doubly in ¬ terested on account of liaving bred Hawthorn He says that while Ten Points action may bo high so is that of Tracery his St Leger winner Mr Bolmont knows that K F McLean of Washington was anxious to buy Ten Point last year but does not know what price was offered It Is understood that 0000 was refused and there is a report hero today that 10000 has been offered but it lacks confirmation Mr McLoau tried last fall to buy Rock View from 31r Belmont but ho is not for sale
