KING, under energetic riding, followed the leader closely from the far turn, raced Into a clear lead in the stretch and held COlRCEI.LES safe in the final drive. The latter saved ground on all the turns and finished gamely under punishment. HUZZAS took the lead at the start and was hard ridden throughout, but tired in the last quarter. 1NDISCRET closed a big gap. WILFREDA began slowly and met with interference repeatedly. FRUIT CAKE raced FLAGS. into.;defeat. and drew away in the stretch, but could, not withstand the winners challenge. FLAGS showed much early speed, but tired in the last eighth. SAND BED was unable to secure a clear course until in the final sixteenth and closed up rapidly when clear. ROYAL DUCK had a rough race. END MAN quit ia the closing strides. GAME CHICK quit badly.
