. J . LIVINGSTON STABLE9 S RECORD LILLIAN SHAWS KENTUCKY OAKS VICTORY THE PRINCIPAL ITEM PLACED TO ITS CREDIT IN A COMPARATIVELY BARREN YEARS RACING The strictly western stable of Jefferson Livingston showed a decided falling off in earnings this" year in comparison with its racing income of 1918. Its return that year was 32,807, while its aggregate of 19J9 was only 0,371. In the course of the year twenty-four horses raced in Mr. Livingstons colors, hut many of them were unproductive and have lKen passed into other ownerships. The stable lacked such a dependable money gatherer as it had when Colonel Venule was racing in its colors. It had in Lillian Shaw a tine and fleet filly, but unluckily she wont amiss after seeming to be destined to play an important part in this years racing. Her victory over Milkmaid, Dancing Spray, Rellsolar, Paris Maid, Regalo, Lackawanna, Looking Up and Delico in the Kentucky Oaks was a clean cut performance, achieved in the fastest time on record for that race, and seemed to presage great things later on. Aside from this good fiHy, Prince of Como, Starview and Major Parke were the stables principal contributors, each of the trio turning in more .than ,000. Starview was the only two-year-old in the stable which did anything worth while. She is a speedy filly, a good mud runner and may do well next year. A good many yearlings have been bought for the stable, and if hopes entertained for some of them prove correctly formed when the racing of next year arrives improvement in its earnings may he anticipated. In the meantime its record this year is: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d. Won.
