Won handily; second and third driving. MARSDALE followed the leader closely in the early running and, racing into the lead after enter-in;; the stretch, easily held the race safe at the end. KIRTLE began slowly, but closed a-gap quickly and was a fast going second. TIMBREL also began slowly, but improved his position in the last half mile and finished resolutely. DICK DEADEYE set a fast early pace and tired. The winner, entered for ,800, was bid up to ,505 and bought in. Scratched 55G753Sling, 112. Overweights Marsdale, 3. pound. VALOR set a good pace under steady restraint for the first three-quarters of a mile and finished gamely, but tired when challenged, ST. ALLAN ran a good race all the way and outstayed. THUNDERSTORM. DISPUTE raced wide throughout but finished fast. Overweights Emotion, 2. pounds.
