Won easily; second and third driving. SAGACITV began slowly and was far back for the first half mile, then moved up steadily when called on and, passing CROMWELL in the stretch, won going away. The latter showed the most early speed, but tired in the final eighth. DARK HILL was under slight restraint in the early running, but could not improve his position when called on for a final effort. SAMMY KELLY moved up rapidly while rounding the last turn, then tired. ARAPAHOE retired after going well for five-eighths. Overweights Sagacity, 4e. pounds, CTOQ- O SECOND RACE 1 1-16 Miles. BUCKNER to pull un in passing and won eased up. A claim of foul was lodged, but disallowed. AV. H. BUCKNER raced well and easily outstayed QUEEN BLONDE. Tho latter raced forwardly and finished close up. PIRATE McGEE closed a big gap. MORNING FACE Set the pace to the last turn and Quit badly. Overweights Scottish Chief, lji- pounds; W. II. RUNANTELL, prominent from the start, raced into the lead when entering the stretch, but tired slightly in the final seventy yards and had to be ridden out at the finish. GALANTMAN set a fast pace in the early running and held on gamely in the final drive. KAI-SANG was off well, but stumbled in the first few strides and lost ground, then gradually improved his position and was gaining fast at the end. The latter was hard ridden tliroiighout and finished gamely. MIRIAM COOPER tired after going well for a mile. FINNISH 3IAID was forced to race wide for the entire race.
