LIVINGSTON AUCTION JUNE 3 Famous Woman Breeder and andOwner Owner Announces Retirement RetirementFrom From Turf Next Month TORONTO Ont May 25 Mrs Ix A Liv ¬ ingston who maintains an extensive breed ¬ ing establishment at Cobourg OnL has announced her retirement from the turf On June 3 at Thorncliffe the twenty two horses she has in training together with the lead pony and all of the traps will be disposed of at auction Later on during the fall meet ¬ ings all of the yearlings will be disposed of at auction auctionThe The big band of brood mares at the farm will be sold at private sale The farm at Cobourg which is possibly the most upto date establishment of its kind in Canada will also bo sold The Pontiac farm at Co ¬ bourg has produced two Kings Plate winners since it passed into the possession of Mrs Livingston in 1908 Tartarien and Leading Light Sotemia one of the brood mares at Cobourg was winner of the Ontario Jockey Club Cup three times and in 1912 she won the fourmile Endurance Stakes at Louisville running the distance in 710 In 1913 Pandorina duplicated Sotemias performance in the Endurance Stakes and Mrs Livingston has the distinction of being the only breeder and owner to win this stake twice
