AIR BRIGADE improved his position to Ihe stretch while saving ground, disposed of CELTICS during the drive and won going away. CELTICS went to the front early, made the pace to the final eghth under occasional urging, but was unable to withstand the winner. HANDSOME BOY, never far back but on the outside, tired during the stretch run. FAIR CALL had no mishaps. BROKE never was dangerous. LADY CABO had early speed. JACK REAPER could not keep up. FLORIDA BREEZE held on gamely in a good effort SHIP JR. failed to respond when roused for the drive. TWO DOWN made the pace to the stretch under pressure from TREELYNNE. then stopped badly. BCCK THIRTEEN went to the front early, bore out badly entering the stretch, but drew clear without need of urging when straightened. BALLYRAG began fast, raced forwardlv placed to the upper turn, but suffered interference from SHASTA KO and could not threaten the winner when clear. TEDDY LASS could not improve her position when hard ridden through the stretch. VEXAVOLO was outrun. VITES never was prominent. GRAND BlRGEE went to the Iront early, made the pace under pressure trom TASCOSA and outgamed the latter when set down for the drive. TASCOSA, forwardly placed throughout, came out slightly entering the stretch and, holding on •toutly near the finish, hung in the closing strides. SHIPS CAPTAIN saved ground but could not threaten the leaders after assuming a good position in the stretch. l.ABOCLAYE raced evenly without mishap. LITTLE ROLLO could not keep up. RAMOJAC began slowly. DOCTOR D. gave a dull effort. HARRIER Was rating prominently near the stretch when he bolted to th« outside, losing all chance. GAY GINO went to the front at once, held a short load when settled for the drive and lasted to withvtand DAISY LEE. The latter, a sharp factor throuehout. came deteiminedly during the stretch run and was getting to the winner at the finish. BLENBAN, taken to the outside entering the stretch, finished fast under punishment. THOR BARTON, in close quarters from the start, was blocked when moving up in the stretch and failed to recover. The latter, permitted to drop far back and kept in the middle of the track, came determinedly dining the final furlong on his own courage but could not overhaul the winner. CAPT. CAUTION went to the front at once, held a clear lead entering the stretch but failed to stay for the drive. BUS V. Z.. outrun early, finished fast. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; seconds the same. KENGAR crossed over sharply at the first turn, bothering GROUND PLAY, was much used engaging MADIGAMA to the stretch, disposed of the latter and continued gamely to just last. ALDRIDGE, away slowly and outrun to the final quarter, went to the inside for the drive and was up to finish in a dead heat with GROUND PLAY and A. ONE for the place. GROUND PLAY raced steadily when clear and, closing fast between horses, was on equal terms at the finish with ALDRIDGE and A. ONE. A claim of foul against the winner by GROUND PLAYS rider was not alowed. A. ONE, in hand until the last three furlongs, came to the outside for the drive and finished strong to deadheat with ALDRIDGE and GROUND PLAY for second. PILATES MISS saved ground throughout and raced evenly in a good effort. ABLE held on well to the stretch and then tired. BONNIE GOLOS was outrun. ROY H. S. showed nothing.
