Nebraska Notes AK-SAR-BEN. Omaha, Neb.. June 19 Leon Hall, sensational apprentice rider of last summer, arrived from Mexico Citys Hipodromo de las Americas, where j he rode throughout the winter. The diminutive Leon is under contract to his father, Omar Hall, who has a stable of horses quartered here. Mrs. M. Carney recently purchased Liberty Flik from J. E. Bilbrey at Fairmount j Park and had the plater shipped here to , place under the direction of T. Westrope. who also is training Miss Anna C. and I Dorothy D. K. for Mrs. Carney. Jockey William Seger arrived from Santa Anita and applied for a riding license. Seger announced that he would ride free lance and that Max Johnston would handle his riding engagements. L. R. Owen is training for various interests one of the largest stables on the grounds, consisting of eight head. Comprising the string are the capable performers May Keen. Lakeview Miss. Mr. Skid, Pharwin. Bubbling High. Lakeview T., Lakeview Ace. and Tiny Bubbles. Earl Cowey arrived from his farm in Southwestern Texas with a trio of horses that he has been preparing for competition. They are Middie Cue. Union Jack and Say Yes. Jockey Robert McCarty has given the Stubb Brothers first call on his services. McCarty, who is best known through this section of the country, has been breaking yearlings for Reynolds Brothers near Fort Worth. Texas. Trainer John Martinez is conditioning the horses Rajas. Jes Blitzen and Sporting Code for W. O. Harper of Dallas, Texas. Stables continue to check in from various sections of the country, the latest being the sizable string of K. and W. C. Davison, which is comprised of the horses Texas Bud. Gay win. Blue Tet. Guinea Lad. Brazin Bob. Hi Gee, Grandview Lady and the star performer. Phantom Lady. W. C. Davison manages the training chores. Wilbur Brown checked in from his farm in Auburn. Nebr., with the horses Hook It, Johnny Moran. Donald W., Persian Fox. Donnenett and Cherry Boy. All of the horses wintered well according to Brown and are scheduled to be sent postward at the earliest opportunity. Jockey Willie Root arrived here from Mexico City after stopping off at his home in Kansas City. Mo., for a short visit. The veteran reinsman will ride free lance. Cecil Myers and M. Schmitz brought their lone colorbearers, which they themselves condition, from Fairmount Park. Myers has the veteran racer Shining Sea and Schmitz brought Athaliah.
