Hickman Named to Kentucky Commission CommissionLOmSVILLE LOmSVILLE Ky May 7 Henry Reed of Louisville has resigned from the state racing commission due to the pressure of private business and will be succeeded by Baylor O Hick ¬ man also of this city it was revealed here late Saturday by Gov Simeon S Willis Hickman a member of one of Louis ¬ villes oldest families has been interested in horses and the racing of thoroughbreds for many years His wife Louise J and their daughters Helen and Paxton also are keen racing enthusiasts Hickman maintains Glenview Farm and has raced a number of useful thoroughbreds there among them Aonbarr Although notice of his official appointment has not been re ¬ ceived Governor Willis guest of honor at the Downs Saturday assured Hickman of his selection when they were together for a short time following the Derby
