ELUSIVE WINS THE SPECIAL SPECIALThe Specialties The heavy rains of Saturday afternoon made the track at Forsyth Forsythia sloppy But it had some speed in it The usual Saturday crowd was on hand Only two favorites were successful St Brandon in the hurdle race and Loudon London in the last event eventThe seventh The card was the best which has boon given ut Forsyth Forsythia but the mischievous rain caused tho thou sixth race for threeyearolds in which were Rondo Kamsin Amassing Irene Woods and others to bo declared off offThe often The principal event was tho thou handicap at one mile and a half and for this seven went to tho thou post Redskin though ho had tho thou top weight 118 pounds was an oven money favorite with Sunny second choice and Elusive well supported Uncle Jim was off in front to n good start with Elusive second and Redskin third Marcel get ¬ ting away last 1 lusive elusive led at tho thou quarter but at the half Sunny was a length a half to the good with Redskin second a half lonsthin sloshing front of Elusive win was ton lengths before Marcel There was no change in the loaders till the mile had been run when Elusive took socond second plhce place Sunny being still u length and u half m front Along tho thou back stretch Elusive moved up and in the next quarter her hoad hoard was in front with Sunny ton lengths before Redskin Only the two leaders were now in it and Elusive soon settled matters for in the stretch she lod clod by four lengths and coming on at will she won by six lengths with Sunny second four lengths in front of Marcel Redskin who was not perse peruse ¬ vered verged with finished last but one The time of 24ui was vory Ivory fast for the track trackThe track The going was just suited to Joe Mancini Anacin and in the first race he galloped in front all the way winning by five lengths from Santa Cruz CruzZamar Cruz Zamar Zamia II was an odds on favorite in the two yearold earl race and Tom Anderson was almost the only other one supported Paul Kauvar Kava was off in front but Cassin Casing took him back and Lillian Wilkes The Galley Slave and Tom Anderson raced in front Tho Theo Galley Slave led into the stretch with Tom Anderson second and Zamar Zamia third At tho thou stand the Galley Slave looked like winning but Cassin Casing brought up Paul Kauvar Kava with a rush and won by half a length with the favorite third thirdIn third In the third race at threequarters treasurers of a mile Lollie Lillie Eastin Easton was the choice It was virtually a two horse race Off in front The Kitten and the favorite raced together tho thou whole route Schreibers Schreiber mare winning at the wire by a short half length with Mamie Mammies G a poor third thirdIn third In the hurdle race St Brandon tho thou favorite had it all his own way winning handily Settle Up who behaved badly at tho thou post was second throughout Evenirg Evening fell at tho thou fourth hurdle but neither horse nor jockey were hurt hurtLoudon hurtled Loudon London who revels in mud was an oddson godson favorite in the last race Ho led all the way with Millie M second winning handily by a length and a half Millie M finished ten lengths in front of Charlie McDonald McDonaldThe McDonald The Sheffield authorities are already casting about for attractions for July 4 There will be a two mile race and a mile handicap in which most of the good ones will be entered
