B J JOHNSON HAS A DAY Yesterday was a large afternoon for B J Johnson and Counsellor Bill Bryan They won two races and were beaten only a head for the two year old event eventLittle Little Music Johnsons candidate for the initial event was backed from 30 to 1 down to 10 to 1 and won off by himself himselfThe The track was dry and fast A crowd of 3500 was out and the betting extremely lively The racing itself was far above the average averageA A jumping race of ten furlongs was the after ¬ noons feature and out of it came the prettiest finish seen at the track Buckmore and Bren ocks pair Repeater and Templemore were equal favorites at even money and the race was strictly between the trio Buckmore made mis ¬ takes at the first three fences and going down the back stretch seemed hopelessly beaten but got to his horses and boat Repeater a nose in a dingdong finish finishMorea Morea another Morello youngster won the colt race by a neck from Jay Bird and Senator Morrill had to be hard pushed to beat Doctor G GTern Tern long overdue won her race like a lady ladyJockey Jockey T McHugh arrived from San Fran ¬ cisco and will ride this season for Bert Hubbard McHugh is a useful addition to the riding talent
