ST LOUIS STAKES CLOSE TODAY The attention of horse owners is again direct ¬ ed to the fact that this is the last day on which entries can be made to the liberal stake events offered by the St Louis Fair Association With the exception of the Derby for 1899 they are all set for decision during the progress of the spring summer and autumn meetings of this year None are of a lower value than 1500 guaranteed The entrance fee in most cases is only the merely nominal sum of 5 while in none except the Derby does it exceed 10 At such a slight cost for making engagements owner of horses that promise well for the com ¬ ing King season will neglect their own interests if they fail to enter them in these stakes Their terms are fully set out in the advertising de ¬ partment patent of DAILY RACING FOEM OEM and entries mailed or telegraphed today to Robert Aull All President Fair Grounds St Louis Mo will be in time
