HARLEMS HAREMS FAST RACING Harlem racing was of the usual quality but the crowd was greater than the ordinary one because of the institution known as Ladies Day The weaiher wearier was as hot as any of the past three weeks and the blazing sun pouring into the grandstand caused the recurrence of the remark I wish they had built the grand ¬ stand on the other side of the track notwith nitwit ¬ favorite won but Abuse was ridden by Bloss Loss whereas Tommy Burns had piloted Sangamon Seagram Batten and Don Orsino Orinoco Abuse outran his field from the start and was not headed The second L4 J Reiff Riff finished second Abe Furst Furs and he racing through the home stretch for the place Newsgatherer Newscaster and Libertine were away back in the order named As little Reiff Riff could not keep his horse straierht strainer George H Ketcham Ketch bumped Abe Furst Furs and for this Col Cool Clark disqualified him giving Abe Furst Furs second and Newsgatherer Newscaster third money The presiding judge said I didnt didn't punish the boy who did as well as he could But he was not strong enough to keep his horse straight straightThen straight Then the corneter connecter of Banks
