with Belle of Memphis slightly in the stretch The filly seemed all out at the time of the interference and the decision disqualifying Elidad Elided was received with some surprise Belle of Memphis had a lot of speed but evidently dis dais ¬ likes mud and tired badly after going about five eighths Little or no damage resulted from the fall of Stamina and Lillie Mark although J Young was badly shaken him wid wide in the stretch Woods kept his head about him though and never tried to pass Plantain until past the eighth pole It was then impossible for McNickle Canticle to further impede him Buckvidere Duckier showed speed but seemed to labor in the going and McDonald eased him in the stretch Fonclif Foci cannot run in the mud and it looked as though Pinochle could not His race was a bad After that there was no con ¬ test Prince Blazes winning as he pleased Dr Marks was always in a good position but Woods seeing he could not beat Prince Blnzes Blintzes eased the colt up Hosi Hoi hardly ran up to his usual mark Since changing hands the gelding does not look as well as he did Cutter weakened at the end Trebor Trevor suffered from a bad ride Prestar Restart could not last the
