DUFFY TO IJE JED REINSTATED REINSTATEDOwner Reinstated Owner Duffy and trainer Diebold Disembody who were ruled off last summer on Jockey Akers Askers testi testis ¬ mony moony to the effect that they had tried to induce him to use an electric saddle in a race at La tonia toni are to be given a chance to do better Of the decision of the Latonia Antonia officials in the case yesterdays Cincinnati Enquirer says The Executive Committee of the Latonia Antonia Association held its third and final meeting in the case of Arthur Duffy at the clubhouse at Latonia Antonia yesterday afternoon and a decision was reached in the case The finding of the com ¬ mittee mite which is given below verbatim is very much in the nature of Guilty but not proved As a matter of fact the decision carries with it the idea that Duffy and Diebold Disembody were guilty in intent but that the corrupt acts were only attempted and not accomplished The de ¬ cision scission while it is a vindication of the Latonia Antonia judges in the action which they took in the premises cannot but impress one who under ¬ stands the English language as a case of whitewash Its one redeeming feature lies in the fact that Diebold Disembody the comparatively friendless trainer has been given the benefit of the influence which was brought to bear in favor of Mr Duffy DuffyThe Duffy The official decision in the case is as fol fool ¬ lows The Executive Committee of the Latonia Antonia Jockey Club after hearing the testimony upon rehearing in the matter of Arthur Duffy and C H Diebold Disembody tuled tiled off by the judges at Latonia Antonia Latoniathe Latinate the day of 1898 and in view of the fact factthat fathead that the corrupt acts were only attempted but not accomplished decides that with the concur ¬ rence rene of the judges the punishment inflicted by them be remitted to suspension until January 1 1 J C SHERLOCK President E C HOPPER Secretary
