Imperious ran a very good race. He was away in a tangle and closed a lot of ground after some interference in the stretch. The going suited him. Survivor ran an honest race. The weight settled him. Lord Marmion is best on fast going. He had speed, but stopped. Watch him on good going. .He is fit. Casdale is good, but was outclassed. Midlight is at her best. Was in the wrong place andjbadly ridden. Judge Wof-ford is a stayer among his own kind. Scratched Lady Britannic, 98; Captive, 105. Hugh Penny, place, 2 to 1 ; show, evens.
