All doubt as to a spring meeting over the Bennings track at Washington has been dispelled by the formal announcement of the following list of stakes, which close for entries February 7, and for which entry blanks can be had at this office. For two-year-olds : Arlington Stakes, 00 added, 1-2 mile. Congressional Stakes, 00 added, 1-2 mile. Mount Vernon Stakes, fillies, 00 added, 1-2 mile. For three-year-olds : Potomac Stakes, 00 added, 34 mile. Federal Stakes, 00 added, 6 1-2 furlongs. For three-year-olds and upward: The Washington Handicap, 00 added, 1 mile. Hurdle races and steeplechases : Maiden Hurdle Race, 00 added, i 1-2 miles. Maryland Hurdle Handicap, 00 added, 1 34 miles. Easter Steeplechase, 00 added, about 2 miles. Bennings Steeplechase, 00 added, about 2 1-2 miles.
